Gyms a good value, but you get what you pay for. It's horribly overcrowded on all the free weights. If you want to use some dated ab machines or work out at at 6am you'll love this place. Otherwise expect to get what you pay for.
Anyhow, I wonder how many people had to waste many hours of their life trying to figure this out and stop payment and how much money they lost in the process.
THIS Gym and its owners & gm are NOT honest and totally deceptive in designing direct mail pieces that are not true. They claim to offer a $9.99 Membership with a "small" initial fee and when you go in with the ad to sign up they claim and ask for a $100 fee!!! I don't know about you but if YOU Work For A Living like most of the rest of us, $100 IS NOT A SMALL INITIAL FEE!!! It time we all STAND UP and protest the gyms and fitness centers that LIE, CHEAT and STEAL with Deceptive Ads and direct mail pieces!!!
I HAVE FILED AN ADVERETISING & BUSINESS dispute and complaint ON Texas Family Fitness with the BetterBusinessBureau (BBB) just now!!!
I started investigating the charge and found that it belongs to a Texas Family Fitness. I called to stop the charge and they said that I can't stop the charge unless I go down to one of their locations and do it in person but I can't do that since I moved to Chicago last year. They gave me the runaround and eventually, they gave me their corporate office number so that I can call and get that resolved but they said the same thing and if I can't do it in person then I will have to do it with a mailed letter.
Terrible deal. They hook you in with the "$10 a month" idea and then put unnecessary maintenance charges of $30 on your card... Ridiculous. And way too many people go here the gym is so crowded.
This place is ALWAYS busy! The price is really inexpensive but it seems like the membership outgrew the facility. Workouts took longer than they should because you're always waiting on the equipment to be available. Also, the evening staff isn't very attentive so if you go after 9:30 you could probably just walk right in.
SEND THEM A MESSAGE AND DON'T GO AND DON'T SIGN UP WITH THEM!!!
Eventually, they agreed to cancel payments over the phone which only shows you that they just want to make it impossible for you to cancel and keep charging you their fees.
Boycott THIS Gym Family all over the area and state!!!
They even totally ignored my message sent to them looking for them to address and fix the issue. They are a bad business and should NOT be rewarded for lying on thier advertising!!!

I was charged for over a year for a gym that was closed down and their explanation was that "Texas Family Fitness" had bought the members when they closed down!!!!
I had a membership with a place called Impact Fitness in Valley Ranch. They closed down almost overnight around October of 2016 so I just started going to a new fitness center. I later realized that they were still charging me for the membership even though the place was no longer in business. I tried calling but that didn't work.
I will be reporting them to the Better Business Beru of course and I will be filing a case with the local small claims because I was not notified for any of this and according to my agreement, my contract ended in May 2016.
