Absolutely perfect tailor!! I love this woman. I have several nice garments I hadn't ever worn--bc I can't do the poofy cap sleeves, zipper didn't sit right and bunched up stretchy material, too big in waist, zipper broke, etc. that now look like they were made for me. She has tailored them all, beautifully and for $15 or less!

Omg the language barrier is REAL!!! I took an 80's prom dress that I got for $10 at a thrift shop. It didn't fit in the bust area but perfect everywhere else. I only needed her to add two inches around the bust area so my breasts would fit. I told her that and she must not understand. She made the hip, waist, and bust two sizes bigger! I needed to gain 15 pounds to fit into the dress after she finished it. I made her fix the bust on the day of my event because it was not wearable. I had to come back, it was so inconvenient and can be done correctly the first time. This was a pain in the rear experience. She charged $50 for alteration on the dress!!! part of it was her fault. I also had two pillow cases that she charged $15 per case. That is super expensive. $50 for alteration to fix two inches on a bust area is ridiculous! More than what I paid for the dress. I don't like it when businesses take advantage of people. If she was fair in her prices and did a good job, she could have kept a customer for life. Since she messed up my dress and overcharged me, I'm never coming back.

I took 5 dress shirts to King's Tailor last Thursday and she made the sleeves fit perfectly on my wrist. Although she has limited ability to speak English, there was no problem in communicating about the work and my inquiries.

And she's incredibly, genuinely friendly. I'm a native English speaker who's sometimes unclear or too soft spoken asserting what I need in English, but she understands me just fine. Unless like someone said "too big" and walked away, she makes sure it's right and you're on the same page on drip-off.

She can eyeball how the garment sits on you and what the problem is without you even saying anything, but then is very meticulous about making sure you try on before and after and are clear about what is being done and that you are ok with exactly how it will now fit before she does it. Times I've wanted my going out shirts to be very fitted, she just confirms that's what I want (I've had tailors argue based on their aesthetic--never here!) and then does it.

The best alteration services in town!

Yes, she's Asian-American and not apparently fluent. But there's no language barrier to me. Clothes are clothes, and courtesy is courtesy, and she is amazing with both, every time.

The best alteration service in DFW!

I highly recommend King's Tailor to anyone who is looking for a quality service with affordable price.

Are you supposed to haggle with alteration people? I wasn't sure so I paid but never coming back since she did a horrible job. I don't mind paying hefty price for a job well done but I had to come back for her to fix my dress because she made it bigger. She did not fix my hip or waist the second time, only the bust. The bottom of my dress was fitting before she made it big. I had to use four pins to pin the back of my dress to make it fit like it was. So pretty much, I paid $50 to undo what she did because she didn't listen or understand me. I'm not the type to flip out in public but looking back, I regret not being mean because it was unfair for me to pay $50 on alteration that I had to pin back myself.

I took two dresses to King's to have them taken in. She did a great job and they were ready in less than a week. I thought her pricing was reasonable as well. I will definitely go back here for alterations in the future and would recommend it.

Prices are very reasonable and she does wonders to all my inquiries

She even takes in knit sweaters and resets cap sleeves to a much more tailored sleek sleeve, both of which many seamstresses will tell you don't even get into bc it's iffy. She warned me the poofy cap sleeves might be iffy but did a perfect job anyway!
